As a business owner, entrepreneur and attorney, I understand the need for solid legal documents but also solid advice that helps add value to the business. At Legacy Law Firm, P.C., we work with business owners and entrepreneurs with everything from business formation to business exit or transition planning. We help clients achieve their strategic goals for the business, and personal and family goals through proper estate planning and making sure the business and personal planning are rowing in the same direction. Because the privately-owned company, family business, or start-up company is completely intertwined with that business owner’s personal finances and life, it is critical to take a holistic approach to planning.

At Legacy Law Firm, P.C., we understand the need for predictability. While we still do some work “by the hour” many of our plans utilize our value-based pricing approach. We also strive to promote efficiency, innovation, and above all else, adding value to your business.

I am the Co-Founder at Legacy Law Firm, P.C. I was admitted to the South Dakota Bar in 1995 and began my career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Roger L. Wollman, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. I was then hired by Woods, Fuller, Shultz & Smith, PC, where I practiced general business law. I moved to Cutler Law Firm, LLP in 2000 to focus on estate and business planning. I became a Partner there in 2002 and focused on estate and business planning and closely-related practice areas. I enjoy this area of the law because it allows me to work closely with clients and help them realize their dreams.

Legacy Law Firm, P.C.

Many law firms are named after their founding attorneys. Legacy Law Firm, P.C. is not. Why? Because our focus is on you, not us, and helping you achieve a lasting legacy. Creating a legacy takes work. Families can create legacies that last generations because of love, faith, or the small acts of daily life. Communities and cultures can be changed because of citizens giving back. Businesses can weather economic downturns because the foundations have been laid securely. We work for you, and consider it both an honor and a privilege to assist you in securing your legacy.
